1. Preparation
- Create or receive access to the company workspace.
- Verify email and sign in to the Damark Customer Gateway Portal.
- Obtain a Middleware License Token from an authorized workspace user.
- Confirm which local PC will host the gateway.

2. Local installation
- Download the Damark Edge Gateway ZIP package.
- Extract it on the local PC or gateway machine.
- Run PlcMiddleware.Host.exe.
- Open http://localhost:5000 and paste the license token.

3. Device connection
- Configure local PLCs, BACnet/IP devices, sensors, or controllers.
- Discover or import tags and points.
- Validate real-time telemetry readings.
- Keep writes disabled until an authorized admin enables them.

4. Access and security
- Assign users and roles from the Portal workspace.
- Define who can view telemetry or send commands.
- Enable secure remote access only when needed.
- Maintain local Governance as the final safety decision.

5. Daily use
- Monitor gateway health, heartbeats, and telemetry.
- Review current tag values and snapshots.
- Use local or remote dashboards, HMI, or SCADA clients.
- Send authorized commands only when Governance allows them.

6. Ongoing operation
- Review licenses, permissions, and expiration dates.
- Add gateways or remote clients according to the plan.
- Scale to more equipment, protocols, and sites.
- Keep the plant network private while enabling governed access.
